Our Story

Welcome to the Atlantic Archipelago, the independent British beer brand founded by Kirk, one of Britain’s ambitious young entrepreneurs. With a steadfast commitment to three core values, we take immense pride in crafting exceptional beers that embody the essence of British production, heritage, agriculture, and uncompromising quality.

Since a young age, Kirk has always had a life grounded in agriculture. From gruelling summers spent working harvests to rural estate consultancy, he knows all too well the trials and tribulations of being a farmer in the modern economy. After completing his agricultural university studies, Kirk pursued a gap year with the dream of traversing the length and breadth of the UK, aiming to discover the vast variety of people, communities, farmlands, natural wonders, and rich histories of these lands.

In 2023 at just 21 years old, this experience inspired Kirk to found Atlantic Archipelago, an independent brand that supports British industry, gives back to local communities, and above all, produces great-tasting beer! Drawing from Kirk’s discoveries during his travels across the UK, our beers are named after intriguing aspects of British history, with the stories behind their inspirations shared on each beer’s respective webpage.

Cheers to the finest in British brewing!

“From plough to pour, every drop embodies the essence of local manufacturing and agricultural excellence.”

Our beliefs

At the heart of our ethos is a dedication to local manufacturing. We firmly believe in supporting British industries and communities, sourcing the finest ingredients from the thriving farms of the British Isles. Whether the fertile lands of Norfolk and Kent to the rolling hills of Yorkshire, each element that goes into our beers is carefully selected to showcase the best of what our nation has to offer.

Quality is non-negotiable at Atlantic Archipelago. From state-of-the-art brewing facilities to our rigorous control measures, we spare no effort in delivering beers of exceptional taste, consistency, and freshness. With a commitment to source quality ingredients from the UK wherever possible, our collaboration with our suppliers ensures our beer is truly delicious.

Our brewing process

Every drop of Atlantic Archipelago beer is born from passion, expertise, and a shared vision between our founder, Kirk, and our master brewer. Together, they blend creativity with craftsmanship, continuously pushing to find the perfect creation. Each beer in the Atlantic Archipelago collection is the culmination of countless experiments, refinements, and a relentless pursuit of perfection — delivering brews that are truly exceptional.

To ensure an efficient brewing process, our barley must meet essential specifications including protein content, moisture levels, nitrogen, and weight. The brewing duration varies depending on the beer style, typically ranging from 2 to 8 weeks. Our brewery utilises advanced hot vapour capture and heat exchanger technology to recycle heat, cutting energy wastage. The result is a delicious, perfectly crafted, sustainable beer.

Our brand

At Atlantic Archipelago, we are incredibly proud of our brand. Founded on our three main principles and inspired by the rich culture and heritage of Britain, our branding evolved to symbolise these key components.

Our logo had to feature the Atlantic Archipelago - the iconic shape of the country that is instantly recognisable and represents our unwavering commitment to manufacturing in and supporting UK industries wherever possible. Our founder Kirk’s gap year exploring the UK is at the heart of our founding and ongoing mission.

Combined with regal colour schemes, eye catching patterns, and stylised fonts, each beer’s personalised branding encapsulates its respective inspirations and symbolises the consistent premium drinking experience of Atlantic Archipelago beers.
